Sample itinerary
Explore Edinburgh
Welcome to Scotland! Upon your arrival into Edinburgh airport, be met by your chauffeur for a comfortable transfer to your hotel. As your room might not be ready, enjoy an introductory walking tour of the Scottish capital. Explore the city main attractions and discover its anecdotes and secrets with a half day tour. You will have then the afternoon to enjoy the city by yourselves or to unwind, relax and acclimatize
Whisky Masterclass
Start your day with the perfect experience for the true whisky enthusiast. Your morning Masterclass will begin with an extended guided viewing of the Scotch Whisky Experience whisky collection over coffee and shortbread. A fun sensory perception test then will prepare you for a comparative tasting of one blend, one single grain and two single malt whiskies, and the nosing of a new-make spirit. You will have then the rest of the day at leisure to continue exploring the vibrant city streets of Edinburgh on your own. You could visit the Palace of Holyroodhouse, which is the official residence of HM The Queen in Scotland, also you could visit The Royal Yacht Britannia, which was home to Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family for over 40 years, sailing over 1,000,000 miles around the world. Now berthed in Edinburgh, you can follow in the footsteps of Royalty to discover the heart and soul of this most special of Royal residences. To enjoy views over the city, take a walk to Arthur’s Seat, the highest point in Edinburgh
The Highlands
Meet your driver guide at the lobby of your hotel this morning. Leave Edinburgh behind to make your way to the Highlands. Drive by way of Glenturret Distillery for a once in a lifetime whisky experience. You will spend the day with the Stillmen and work alongside them, hand rousing the malted barley in the open mash tun, the only place where you can do this in the world. Learn about run rates and cutting spirits, see how and why they need to regularly check on the whisky whilst it sleeps and learn about the art of blending. This experience will include a 2-course lunch, a bottle of your own single malt and, most importantly, a Glenturret boiler suit with your name embroidered on it
Meet the locals
- Today immerse yourselves in a celebration of Scottish food and drink. Together with your driver guide, you will explore the best of Perthshire’s food and drink, travelling through the dramatic scenery of Scotland’s highest through road. Begin at the Highland Chocolatier for a visit and tasting. If you feel like walking it off, there’s fabulous walking in the area, before touring back in time 4000 years with demonstrations of Iron Age cookery, crafts and technologies. Before heading back to Braemar for your overnight, you will enjoy a hands-on baking experience at the very home of your Scottish guide. Be welcomed into a local’s home, high on a hill with spectacular views of the Cairngorms. Learn how to make the traditional Scottish specialties, shortbread and oatcakes, and enjoy with salmon, home cured using local ingredients.
The Malt Whisky Trail
- Speyside is famed for its whisky. Take this day to learn about the ancient art of coopering at the Speyside Cooperage before visiting some of the Malt Whisky Trail distilleries for an in-depth tour. There will be time for a picnic lunch and some whisky ice cream before visiting a castle or walking on one of the hill routes, used by whisky smugglers in the past. On the way home you will stop for a bespoke whisky tasting at a world-renowned shop. This evening enjoy fine dining at the award winning Boath House restaurant.
Isle of Skye
- Today, visit the iconic Loch Ness and explore the region first by foot and then aboard a private yacht. While aboard, enjoy a Scottish buffet lunch and a special piper welcome. Be sure to keep your eye out for Nessie, the loch’s famous monster! Enjoy your evening at leisure before your first night on the Isle of Skye.
Whiskey & Chocolate
- The largest of the Inner Hebrides, the Isle of Skye is home to some of Scotland’s most iconic landscapes. Be mesmerized by its breath-taking scenery, quaint towns, and stunning coastline. Tour to Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls. Continue then to Rubha nam Brathairean (Brother’s Point), the Isle of Skye’s hidden gem. Before finishing your day on the Island enjoy a visit to the Island’s only distillery. Your tour will take you through the single malt process and conclude with a tutored tasting of three Talisker expressions, paired perfectly with locally handmade chocolates.
Glencoe National Park
- Leave the Isle Skye this morning. While touring to the mainland, you will explore the greenery and tranquil beauty of Glencoe National Park. This world-famous Scottish landmark charms with high mountain peaks, ridges, rushing rivers and waterfalls. This evening, experience fine dining at the 3 AA Rosette Airds Hotel & Restaurant.
Explore the Western Isles
- Today, experience the Western Isles of Scotland aboard a private 1940s traditional Scottish vessel. The skipper will advise the best itinerary for the day depending on the weather; however, you will experience some of the most remote and beautiful villages and islands in all of Great Britain. As Part of your day you can enjoy a fresh seafood and other local produce lunch ashore on a secluded beach or aboard. Local lobster and mussels are a favourite!
Haggis
- Tour to Glasgow today by way of the Trossachs National Park. Visit a working sheep farm where you will learn how to make your own haggis. You will discover the origins and the ingredients that make haggis so delicious, blend your own spice mix and use it to create your own haggis while your Master Haggis Maker guides you through the preparation process. Conclude your experience with a traditional Scottish dinner served with traditional or vegetarian haggis!
Glasgow
- On this day, explore the vibrant streets of Glasgow city. Glasgow is a city with striking architecture, contemporary art spaces and fascinating museums, many of which are free. Glasgow city centre is one of the best shopping destinations in the UK, outside of London’s West End.
